2B Played Music has launched BassFrame, a bass shaping plugin designed to process low-frequency content in individual tracks and broader mix material. The plugin combines low-frequency reinforcement, harmonic shaping, and dedicated bass processing controls within a single interface.
BassFrame includes five processing engines: Tight, Thick, Punch, Synth, and Wide. According to 2B Played Music, each engine is intended to provide a different approach to low-end treatment.
- Tight is designed for controlled low-frequency definition.
- Thick adds body and harmonic weight.
- Punch focuses on attack and impact.
- Synth generates an octave-down layer that follows the detected bass pitch.
- Wide adds stereo width and harmonic presence while retaining focus in the deepest frequency range.
The plugin provides controls labelled Focus, Weight, Drive, Contour, Air, and Output. Focus is used to select the frequency area for processing, while Weight strengthens the low-frequency foundation and Drive introduces harmonic energy. Contour and Air provide additional control over tonal balance and definition.
BassFrame is intended for use with bass guitars, synthesizer basses, kick drums, drum loops, and other source material where users may wish to alter low-frequency weight, definition, or harmonic content. The available controls are designed to support both subtle reinforcement and more pronounced changes to the bass range.
2B Played Music states that BassFrame was developed as an alternative to relying on equalisation alone for low-end processing, bringing pitch-aware octave generation, harmonic processing, and bass-focused controls together in one workflow.
BassFrame is available at an introductory price of $29.99 until September 28, 2026, after which it will be priced at $69.99. A fully functional seven-day trial is available. BassFrame is also included with the 2B Played Music Studio Pass for active Studio Pass members at no additional cost.
