Accentize has launched SpectralBalance², an EQ matching plugin for dialogue recordings on Windows and Mac. It streamlines tonal consistency across different recording conditions in real time or post production.
Designed to address variations caused by different rooms, microphones and takes, SpectralBalance² analyzes the spectral characteristics of a reference track and applies a corresponding EQ curve to the input signal.
New features in SpectralBalance² include:
- More precise matching for subtle, natural speech results
- Faster analysis and smoother one-click workflow
- Refined reference profiles with create, save and reuse capabilities
- Conventional EQ controls for gain, frequency and Q adjustments
SpectralBalance² offers two processing modes:
- Static mode applies a fixed matching curve ideal for stable voice and microphone setups
- Dynamic mode adapts the EQ matching to performance variations over time
The QuickMatch feature delivers an instant match by analyzing the selected reference and applying the curve with a single click.
Typical applications include ADR and voice replacement, documentary and reality productions, podcast and voice-over work, as well as localization and dubbing.
Existing SpectralBalance users can upgrade to SpectralBalance² at no cost by downloading and installing the new version. It remains compatible with the original iLok license, and loyalty discounts are available for owners of other Accentize products.
SpectralBalance² is currently available at a 25% discount through September 17th. Previous SpectralBalance owners may upgrade free of charge.
