AcousticSamples has launched the VWinds Clarinets bundle for the free UVI Workstation, which includes eight distinct clarinet instruments. This latest addition to the VSeries continues the VWinds collection, offering a variety of tones and colours through individually recorded instruments.
The VWinds Clarinets bundle features two B-flat clarinets, two Bass clarinets, one E-flat clarinet, one A clarinet, one Basset horn, and one Contrabass clarinet. Each instrument was performed by different world-class musicians, ensuring a unique and authentic sound. The two versions of the B-flat and Bass clarinets were recorded separately to provide a diverse range of tones and colours.
Consistent with the rest of the VSeries, the VWinds Clarinets are designed to be user-friendly right from the start, without the need for key switches or multiple CCs. The instruments are controllable with just the air flow. In a significant update, the airflow control itself has been enhanced, a feature believed to be a world first in any sample library. This update is based on a detailed examination of the link between air and pitch, adding an extra layer of realism to the sound.
The VWinds Clarinets benefit from AcousticSamples’ work on a hybrid technology that combines recorded samples with modeling techniques. This approach delivers the best of both worlds: instruments that sound authentic and are immediately playable. The Clarinets also employ AcousticSamples’ proprietary Harmonic Alignment Technology (H.A.T.). This advanced technology enables a highly accurate reproduction of the timbre of each instrument, covering the full dynamic range across every articulation. It also allows for highly customizable, beautifully expressive performance techniques, such as legato transitions and vibrato.
The integration of real recorded samples with modeling techniques results in the VWinds Clarinets weighing in at only approximately 100Mb per instrument, including retina graphics and presets. Despite this compact size, the instruments sound like real live instruments being recorded, complete with all their imperfections. They also offer fully continuous response with unparalleled playability.
The introductory offer for the VWinds Clarinets is 25% off until November 30th. Individual instruments are available for €79 each, down from the regular price of €99.
