Acustica Audio has unveiled its latest offering, Acqua LACE, a true peak brick wall limiter plugin suite compatible with both Windows and Mac systems. This innovative suite, the first of its kind from Acustica, features a handpicked selection of top-tier hardware limiters, including some highly-regarded models that are no longer in production.
Acqua LACE is an advanced, true peak, brick wall limiter, meticulously designed to boost your loudness levels without sacrificing sound quality. This unique tool guarantees exceptional transparency while maintaining the transients and low frequencies of your audio. After extensive research, Acustica Audio is proud to present Lace as their flagship true peak limiter, combining their expertise with inspiration from both analog hardware and software prevalent in leading recording studios. This approach has enabled the creation of a product that not only optimizes volume increase but also minimizes artifacts and offers maximum flexibility, adapting to various musical genres, tempos, dynamics, and spectral characteristics.
Lace aims to address a critical challenge in mixing and mastering: effectively merging limiting and digital clipping without compromising sound quality. Many True Peak Limiters struggle with managing transients, which are instantaneous peaks of sound produced by percussive instruments, that can result in being attenuated or distorted. Furthermore, these limiters can adversely impact low frequencies, reducing them and thus compromising the fullness and warmth of the mix, leading to tracks that sound overly bright or compressed.
Lace is engineered to overcome these hurdles, preserving the transients and the integrity of the low frequencies. It also tackles the issue of level variations caused by suboptimal reaction times in traditional limiters, which can lead to excessive use of limiting. This, in turn, can alter the dynamic balance of the track, especially in quieter sections. With Lace, the objective is to offer all the benefits of an advanced limiter, resolving these fundamental problems to ensure a balanced and consistent sound throughout your mix.
Lace includes two different GUI to choose from:
– LACE: plugin version based on a 3D ‘Acustica’s classic-style’ GUI.
– LACE ‘Flat’: plugin version based on a 2D ‘modern-style’ GUI.
Acustica Audio is offering a promotional discount of 53% off on Acqua LACE. This offer is valid until March 25th.
