Analog Obsession has recently launched the Rare Bundle, which includes two free EQ plugins for Windows and Mac – Rare and Rare SE. These plugins are designed with a vintage program equalizer and feature Left/Right (L/R) and Mid/Side (M/S) processing capabilities.

Rare

The Rare plugin comes with several features including:

  • CPS Low Frequency: This is a low frequency switch.
  • CPS Low Boost: This feature allows for low frequency boost.
  • CPS Low Atten: This feature provides low frequency attenuation.
  • KCS High Frequency: This is a high frequency switch.
  • KCS High Boost: This feature allows for high frequency boost.
  • ATTEN SEL High Atten: This is a high attenuation frequency switch.
  • ATTEN: This feature provides high frequency attenuation.
  • OUTPUT: This feature allows for output control.
  • ANALOG OBSESSION: This clickable label engages Oversampling (4x) when turned red.

  • KCS High Boost: This feature allows for high frequency boost (LR/MS).
  • ATTEN SEL High Atten: This is a high attenuation frequency switch (LR/MS).
  • ATTEN: This feature provides high frequency attenuation (LR/MS).
  • LR/MS: This switch allows you to select how you process sound, either Mid/Side or Left/Right.
  • LINK/UNLINK: This switch links the Right/Side section to the Left/Mid section.
  • IN: This feature allows for bypass (LR/MS). The lamps are also clickable and function as a bypass.
  • OUTPUT: This feature allows for output control (LR/MS).
  • LEFT/MID: This clickable label turns red and solos the LEFT/MID section when clicked.
  • RIGHT/SIDE: This clickable label turns red and solos the LEFT/MID section when clicked.
  • ANALOG OBSESSION: This clickable label engages Oversampling (4x) when turned red.

Note: In M/S mode, only the L/M section’s bypass switches will be active.

Both plugins come with a resizable interface. Users can simply use the “Bottom Right Corner Handle” to resize the interface from 50% to 200%.
