Aodyo Instruments has launched Anyma V, a hybrid physical modelling virtual instrument plugin and standalone application. Compatible with Windows, macOS, and Linux, Anyma V is designed to create new sound universes inspired by real-world physics.
Anyma V is a unique blend of classic electronic music elements and advanced physical modeling technology. This combination allows the instrument to simulate acoustic sound sources and resonating structures, adding physical behaviors to modulations such as bouncing balls and springs. As the virtual equivalent of the Anyma Phi hardware synthesizer, Anyma V utilizes the same sound engine and patch format, facilitating seamless patch creation and transfer between the two instruments. However, unlike its hardware counterpart, Anyma V boasts polyphonic capabilities and unlimited instances in digital audio workstations (DAWs).
The instrument is compatible with any MIDI controller and supports MPE controllers and DAWs. It offers the flexibility to be tuned to any reference frequency or tuning system, and supports over 30 preset tunings. Additionally, it allows the import of Scala and MTS sysex files.
The minimum system requirements for Anyma V vary by operating system. For Windows, users need an Intel/AMD (32‐bit or 64‐bit) or ARM 64‐bit processor, 1 GB of RAM, 100 MB of free disk space, and Windows 7 or a more recent version. macOS users require an Intel 64‐bit or Apple Silicon processor, 1 GB of RAM, 100 MB of free disk space, and OS X 10.9 or a more recent version. Linux users need an Intel/AMD 64‐bit or ARM (32‐bit armv7hf or 64‐bit armv8) processor, 1 GB of RAM, 100 MB of free disk space, and any OS with Linux 3.2.0 kernel or more recent and glibc.
Anyma V comes with a user guide to assist users in navigating its features. A demo version is also available for download. This version is fully functional with no time limit, but includes a 30-second silence every 10 minutes.
For a limited time, Anyma V is available at an introductory discount of 50% off. The expiry date of this promotion is currently unknown.
