Artists in DSP has launched Transpanner PRO, a 3D panning plugin compatible with both Mac and Windows operating systems. The plugin provides comprehensive control over sound positioning and depth, enabling audio professionals to craft realistic 3D soundscapes using a standard 2-loudspeakers setup.
Transpanner PRO’s user interface allows for meticulous adjustment of sound angle, diffusion, and realistic motion parameters. The plugin features a unique polar pad interface, which offers precise control over sound direction. The positions on this interface range from 0 to 360 degrees, and it also includes a distance control feature. At 0% distance, users will hear only the dry sound, while at 100% distance, the far field parameters are fully engaged.
In addition to these features, Transpanner PRO includes far field parameters that emphasize sound diffusion and timbral characteristics. These parameters include reverb and low/high cut sections. The plugin also simulates the Doppler effect, which alters pitch and volume based on the relative motion of the sound source and listener.
The plugin offers several other parameters, including the option to select the input as either mono or stereo, adjust the gains of the far and near fields, and an inversion button that switches the near and far fields on the pad.
Transpanner PRO is compatible with Mac (Intel/M1/M2): macOS 10.11 and newer (Formats: AU & VST3), Windows (x64): Windows 10 and newer (Format: VST3), and any DAW that supports VST3 or AU formats. The VST3 version for Apple Silicon is expected to be available by the end of September.
The full version of the plugin is priced at $49.90, and a demo version is also available, which is muted every 30 seconds. After purchasing Transpanner PRO, users can request a refund in case of any technical issues.
The pricing is based on a Pay What You Want (PWYW) system, with the minimum option available at a 36% discount. The expiry date of this offer is currently unknown.
