Auddict has launched Rampage Electric Cello, a deeply sampled electric cello instrument for the full version of Native Instruments Kontakt 5 and later. Performed by cellist Caroline Mirkes, the library is designed for hybrid scoring, trailer music, and dark cinematic productions.
Rampage Electric Cello is presented as a full playable instrument rather than a texture-focused patch. It includes 15 articulations, with three legato modes, seven long articulation types, and five short articulation types.
The instrument provides three separately controllable tone channels: DI, Amped Clean, and Amped Driven Hard. These channels can be blended using mixer sliders within the instrument, allowing users to combine the direct and amplified signals during performance or programming.
Short articulations include seven round robins. Auddict states that the library has been processed with its AI-P system throughout and includes Legato Aid, a real-time performance smoothing feature intended to support transitions between notes.
The Kontakt interface also includes onboard effects and tone-shaping controls:
- Stereo width
- Bit crush
- Equalisation
- Reverb
Rampage Electric Cello requires the full version of Kontakt 5 or a later full version. It is not compatible with the free Kontakt Player.
Rampage Electric Cello is available for an introductory price of $79, reduced from $200. Auddict is also offering a Rampage Electric Cello and Wireburn Electric Violin bundle for $137, and a bundle containing Rampage Electric Cello, Wireburn Electric Violin, and Drums of the Deep III for $199. The duration of the introductory promotion has not been specified.
