Audio Imperia has launched Glade – The Unearthed Orchestra, a new orchestral library for Kontakt Player that combines symphonic staples and world instruments in a lightweight, mix-ready toolkit. Free to download, it offers composers a versatile palette including strings, woodwinds, percussive and melodic textures from around the world.
Glade runs in the free Kontakt Player and requires version 7.10.9 or later. Installers are managed through Native Access 2 and support the NKS standard. Users can choose between two versions: a compact 4.41 GB Glade package with Classic and Modern mixes, or a 12.51 GB Glade Studio edition that adds Spot, Decca, Outrigger and Far microphone positions.
The instrument set covers both orchestral mainstays and distinctive world tones. In total, the library includes 19 instruments and offers 84 designer presets. A four-layer design interface helps shape dynamic and harmonic content without relying on external effects chains.
- High and low strings
- Ensemble woodwinds
- World instruments such as duduk, fujara, pan pipes and ney
- Keyboard and mallet instruments including celesta, marimba and crotales
Glade Studio users can switch between four dedicated microphone positions and two mix styles. Mix-ready presets respond to dynamic performance, while the NKS format allows seamless integration with supported controllers.
- NKS ready and compatible with Native Access 2
- Free Kontakt Player, version 7.10.9 or higher, required
- 4 GB download for Glade, 12 GB for Glade Studio
- 16 instruments and 84 presets included
The library was produced in collaboration with Budapest Scoring and Clockwork Sessions. Contributors include Jonathan Daglish, Jan Hoeglund and Charles Quinn, among others. Recording sessions captured a range of articulations and textures suitable for film, television and game scoring.
Glade – The Unearthed Orchestra is now available for download. Registration and authorization are handled through the Audio Imperia website and Native Access 2.
Glade and Glade Studio can be downloaded free of charge from the Audio Imperia website.
