News: Audio Plugin Guy Releases Suite of Free Web-Based Tools.

Audio Plugin Guy has introduced a collection of free browser-based tools designed for musicians, producers, and sound designers. The tools are intended to address practical production tasks, creative planning needs, and specialised workflow requirements directly within a web browser.

All tools are accessible online without installation and are organised into clearly defined categories, ranging from general-purpose utilities to more focused modulation workflow solutions.

The Producer Utilities page brings together a set of everyday reference tools commonly used during music production. The current collection includes:

  • BPM Delay Calculator
  • Note ↔ Hz Converter
  • Compressor Timing Guide
  • Interactive Circle of Fifths
  • Sections highlighting Today’s Top Plugin Deals and Today’s Top Freebies

This page is designed as a practical reference hub for routine production tasks, offering quick access to commonly needed calculations and theory tools in a single location.

The Song Structure Planner focuses on arrangement development. It allows users to build and modify song structures using clearly defined section blocks. Sections can be added, removed, reordered, and assigned custom lengths, with notes attached to each part of the arrangement.

Users can begin with pre-built song structure templates and then adapt them to suit individual projects. The tool also supports exporting a PDF that includes a visual song structure map at the top and space for section-by-section notes below. This format is intended for practical use during writing, producing, arranging, or mixing, and can be applied to any style of music organised into structural sections.

The Ear Training for Pitch and Frequency Recognition tool is designed to support listening skill development in a production context. It currently includes three training modes:

  • Note Recognition
  • Interval Recognition
  • Frequency Range Recognition

The tool is structured to assist users in identifying notes, recognising intervals, and detecting key frequency areas within a mix. Its focus is on practical listening skills that can be applied directly to music production and mixing tasks, rather than purely theoretical exercises.

Two additional tools are designed specifically for use with Kilohearts products. The Melodic Sequence Table Generator enables users to create melodic sequences and convert them into LFO Table and Curve files compatible with Kilohearts Host modulation. Because Kilohearts LFOs are primarily designed for traditional modulation tasks, constructing pitch-based melodic modulation directly within the host can involve multiple manual steps. This generator provides a structured way to design sequences externally and export them for use within the Kilohearts environment.

Since Kilohearts modulators can be assigned to pitch-related parameters, such as oscillators in Phase Plant or filter effects, the tool supports the creation of note-based modulation patterns that behave in a sequencer-like manner.

The Rhythm Sequence Table Generator also targets Kilohearts Host modulation. It is designed to create LFO Table and Curve files focused on rhythmic modulation patterns. These patterns can be interpolated and scanned within an LFO table, using wavetables as the modulation source. The tool provides a structured way to generate evolving rhythmic movement and pattern variation for modulation purposes.

Audio Plugin Guy notes that these Kilohearts-focused tools are not officially endorsed by or affiliated with Kilohearts. However, Kilohearts is aware of the tools and has approved their public availability.

All of the tools are browser-based and require no installation. They are free to use and can be accessed directly online. Development involved the use of AI-assisted coding tools, including Codex and Claude, under the direction and oversight of Audio Plugin Guy, with attention given to usability, stability, and security.

According to Audio Plugin Guy, additional browser-based music production tools are planned for future release.

All listed tools are free to use and accessible directly through a web browser, with no installation required.
