Audiobro, has recently launched Silver, a free and continually expanding library of sounds for the Kontakt Player. Initially featuring a deeply-sampled tongue drum, the library has since diversified to include a range of different sounds, all designed to be simple, diverse, and enjoyable to use, with quick load times and a variety of presets.
The Silver library operates within the free Kontakt Player and is NKS-compatible. The instruments currently included in the library are:
- Silver Tongue: a multi-dynamic tongue drum played with hands, soft mallets, and metal mallets. It includes Round Robin, unmuted and muted, isolated tongue tines as well a controllable resonance (“Reso”)
- Bowls: multi-dynamic hand-played bowls with Round Robin, slaps, mutes and semi-mutes
- Pads: Guitar Suspense, Slow Guitar Suspense, Strings Harmonics, Tongue Bells, Far Bells, Analog Wide, Analog Simple, Analog Zap
- Basses: Attack Bass, Attack Bass Monophonic, Simple Bass, Simple Bass Monophonic
- Electronic Drum Kit: A collection of General MIDI drums with various snares, kicks, rims, claps, and all the other regulars: hats, toms, crashes, tambourine, etc.
Audiobro plans to update the library with additional instruments and samples over time. The library is downloaded via Native Access and requires Kontakt Player 7 or later. The library is approximately 500MB with loss-less compressed audio files, which equates to around 1GB when uncompressed.
