Audiomodern has launched Wired, a new virtual instrument designed for its free Soundbox engine. The instrument introduces a curated collection of lo‑fi synthesizer tones and evolving textures inspired by dream pop aesthetics.
Wired is built around bit‑reduced synthesizer sounds and layered sonic textures shaped with vintage and modular analog synthesizers. According to Audiomodern, the instrument focuses on tape‑influenced warmth and understated character, offering tones that evolve gradually over time. The library combines lo‑fi elements with detailed textural layers intended for atmospheric production and expressive sound design.
The instrument includes 1 GB of audio material and ships with 40 fully unlocked presets. These presets are playable immediately within the Soundbox engine and are designed to provide flexible starting points for further customization.
Wired runs inside Audiomodern’s proprietary Soundbox format and can be imported into any device running the Soundbox engine on desktop or iPad. Soundbox is an MPE‑compatible sampler platform developed to host customizable virtual instruments. The engine allows users to modify and build instruments using its internal tools and feature set.

Wired is available now in Soundbox format for desktop and iPad systems running the free Soundbox engine.
