AudioThing Launches Wurly, a Vintage Electric Piano Plugin.

News: AudioThing Launches Wurly, a Vintage Electric Piano Plugin.

AudioThing has launched a new vintage electric piano instrument plugin named Wurly. This plugin, which is compatible with Windows, Mac, and Linux, emulates the Wurlitzer electric pianos from the 1960s and 1970s.

Wurly is a comprehensive plugin that includes both the classic 200 and the refined 200A models of the Wurlitzer electric pianos. It provides users with controls for shaping the electric elements of the sound, including pickup emulation, envelope settings, and the iconic built-in tremolo. This allows musicians and producers to recreate the unique sound of these vintage instruments with a high degree of accuracy.

In addition to the electric elements, Wurly also offers detailed control over the mechanical aspects of the piano sound. This includes the hammer, key, pedal noises, and clank section. By using both physical models and samples, the plugin is able to fine-tune each nuance of the piano’s character. This level of detail provides users with a rich and authentic sound that closely mirrors the original instruments.

One of the standout features of Wurly is the careful sampling of the speakers on each model. This allows users to blend the direct sound with the speaker sound, creating a more immersive and realistic audio experience. The plugin is available for MAC, PC, and LINUX (VST, VST3, AU, AAX, CLAP, 64-bit only), and also as AUv3 and Standalone on the App Store.

The Wurly plugin is currently priced at 69 Euros, but is available at a discounted rate of 39 Euros for a limited time. This represents a 34% discount on the regular price.

This promotional discount is valid until July 9th.
