AudioThing has launched Fog Convolver v2.3, offering users a host of new features and enhancements. This update introduces a Snapshot System, enabling automation of impulse response (IR) and preset changes, alongside improved browser loading times and additional impulse responses.
Fog Convolver v2.3 is a versatile stereo convolution reverb and processor plugin designed to elevate audio production capabilities. The updated version has undergone a comprehensive redesign and rewrite, incorporating modulation, effects, a space simulator, and an impulse response generator. These enhancements aim to provide users with a more dynamic and flexible audio processing experience.
The plugin allows for the loading of two separate impulse responses with five distinct routing modes to arrange these impulses effectively. Each impulse response can be customized with two low-frequency oscillators (LFOs), a dedicated multi-mode filter, and a five-band graphic equalizer. This level of customization ensures that users can tailor their audio processing to meet specific needs and preferences.
Fog Convolver v2.3 comes equipped with nine factory banks, featuring over 740 impulse responses. These responses are crafted from a diverse range of sources, including spaces, analog and digital equipment, organic materials, and handmade devices. This extensive library provides users with a broad spectrum of audio textures and environments to explore.
The plugin supports easy drag-and-drop functionality for loading audio files, streamlining the workflow for users. Additionally, the newly introduced snapshot system allows for the saving and quick recall of the plugin’s current settings, enhancing efficiency during audio production sessions.
Fog Convolver v2.3 is compatible with macOS, Windows, and Linux, ensuring accessibility for a wide range of users. A free trial version is available, albeit with some limitations, allowing potential users to explore the plugin’s capabilities before committing to a purchase.
