News: auDYo engineering has released Princess Pitch, a plugin for micro-pitch doubling and stereo delay.

auDYo engineering has launched Princess Pitch, a micro-pitch doubling and stereo delay plugin for Windows and Linux. The plugin is designed to create a layered, widened effect from mono or stereo sources by applying opposing pitch detuning to the left and right channels.

Princess Pitch is based on the micro-pitch doubling technique, which uses small pitch differences between stereo channels to suggest multiple performances. According to auDYo engineering, this approach can be used to add width and thickness while retaining the source material’s original tonal character.

The plugin combines its pitch processing with a stereo delay section. This delay can be positioned away from the centre, allowing the effect to move between a close, unified doubling treatment and a more dispersed stereo delay pattern.

Its controls are intended to provide direct adjustment of the audible parameters without preset browsing or menu-based configuration. The design focuses on a compact set of controls for shaping pitch detuning, stereo width, and delay movement.

Princess Pitch is intended for applications including vocal doubling, guitar thickening, and the spatial treatment of pads and other sustained sound sources. It can also be used on mono or stereo tracks where a broader stereo image or layered pitch treatment is required.

The plugin is available in VST3 and LV2 formats for Windows and Linux.

Princess Pitch is available now from auDYo engineering for €11.90 EUR or $12.90 USD.
