BDSP has unveiled its inaugural plugin, Cross Pollinator, a multi-delay tool equipped with four delay-lines that can be freely routed into one another.
The Cross Pollinator is a potent yet user-friendly tool, ideal for both meticulous sound engineers and those who prefer to explore presets until they discover a suitable starting point. The plugin allows users to create rhythmically intricate and dynamic delays, metallic timbres, and evolving delays with just a few clicks.
The Cross Pollinator comes with a host of features. It has four independent delay units, allowing users to control the send amount, panning, and ping-pong width between each unit. Users can set delay times with 32nd note precision across multiple tempo divisions, providing a high level of control over the delay effect. Each unit also has separate output effects, including a drive with automatic gain compensation and a filter that can seamlessly morph between LP, BP, and HP.
Furthermore, the plugin offers intuitive routing and delay time visualizers, making it easier for users to understand and manipulate the delay effects. It also includes four assignable macros, giving users the flexibility to customize the plugin to their specific needs.
For users who prefer to start with presets, the Cross Pollinator comes with over 100 categorized presets, each preloaded with useful macros. This feature allows users to quickly find a preset that suits their needs and then fine-tune it using the plugin’s various controls.
Finally, the Cross Pollinator includes a built-in undo and redo function, ensuring that users can easily correct mistakes or revert changes. This feature adds an extra layer of convenience and flexibility, making the plugin even more user-friendly.
