Behringer has launched Vintage. This free analog modeling synth plugin and standalone is compatible with both Mac and Windows systems.
The Behringer Vintage is a virtual analog synthesizer that incorporates vintage modeling circuitry. Despite being a free plugin, it holds a value of USD 99. The engine of the synthesizer is meticulously modeled on legendary analog vintage synthesizers, providing users with a high-quality sound experience.
The Vintage features two high-quality oscillators with a hard sync function. Users can select from various waveforms including sine, square, saw, noise, and sub-oscillator. This provides a wide range of sound options, allowing users to customize their sound production to their liking.
In addition to the oscillators, the Vintage also includes two versatile filters. These filters come with a 12/24 dB switchable low, high, and band pass, notch, and formant modes. Users can also select from various drive curves for lush harmonic saturation. This feature further enhances the sound quality and provides users with more control over their sound production.
The Vintage is compatible with Windows 10+ and MacOS 10.13+ and supports VST3 and AU V2. This ensures that a wide range of users can utilize this product, regardless of their operating system. The product also comes with 100 vintage plus modern presets. These presets are designed to provide classic synth tones from the 70s and 80s, giving users a nostalgic sound experience.
In a philanthropic move, Behringer has announced that a portion of the proceeds from the Vintage will be donated to the Playing for Change Foundation. This foundation supports music education, making this a purchase that not only benefits the user but also contributes to a good cause.
To obtain a license for the Vintage, users will need to register on Music Tribe.
