Bespoke Samples has launched a new tool for sound designers and music producers. Liquidize, a fluid-like vocoder effect, is now available for both Mac and Windows users, offering a unique way to transform samples with a watery and fluid character.
Liquidize is designed to enhance audio samples by applying a series of effects that give them a liquid-like quality. The processing chain includes a self-modulating vocoder, reverb, and phaser. These components work together to shape the sound, providing users with the ability to add a distinctive “liquid” character to their audio projects.
The software offers a range of parameters that allow for detailed sound customization:
- Bands: Controls the number of vocoder bands.
- Bandwidth: Adjusts the Q value of each band.
- Attack and Release: Manage the response time of the vocoder.
- Threshold: Sets the level at which each band is gated.
- Phaser: Determines the depth of the phasing effect.
- Size: Influences the perceived space or room size.
- Verb: Controls the reverb wet/dry mix.
- Mix: Adjusts the overall wet/dry balance of the effect chain.
- Gain: Provides volume boost or cut to the processed signal.
For Mac users, Liquidize requires macOS 10.13 to 14, with a minimum of a 2.0GHz dual-core Intel i5 processor and 4GB of RAM. The recommended setup includes a 2.5GHz quad-core Intel i5 or Apple Silicon and 8GB of RAM. The software supports both Intel and Apple Silicon natively. Windows users need Windows 10 or 11, with a minimum of an Intel 2.0 GHz dual-core i5 or AMD equivalent and 4GB of RAM. The recommended configuration is an Intel i5 quad-core (6th gen+) or AMD Ryzen 5 with 8GB of RAM.
