BFD Drums has recently released an update to their free BFD Player, bringing it to version 1.2. This update introduces additional drum kits, mix presets, and grooves, as well as improved editing capabilities.
BFD Player is a complimentary drum plugin that provides high-quality drum kits, grooves, and mixing options for songwriters and music producers. The software is user-friendly and delivers authentic drum sounds, professional grooves, and a straightforward mixer. It comes equipped with professionally mixed kits and grooves, and users can expand their sound libraries with an ever-growing collection of sound libraries.
The BFD Player features 340 grooves, all crafted by top drummers. These grooves are fully searchable based on genre, tempo, and even the leading hand. The software also includes an inbuilt mixer, allowing users to create professional-grade drum tracks. Additionally, the kit piece browser feature enables users to swap drum components with alternatives from a variety of expansion packs.
The free version of the BFD Player is packed with features. It includes a 5GB library, a 3D kit view with switchable drums, a simplified mixing experience, and a groove browser with filtering mechanics. Users also have access to a library of 340 drum patterns and a collection of production-ready presets. Furthermore, the ‘Original Mix’ preset provides users with access to all channels.
To run the software, users will need Windows 10 version 1909 or higher, or macOS 10.14 to macOS 13 Ventura. The system requirements also include 2GB of free disk space (5.25GB recommended for all content), 4GB of RAM (8GB recommended), and a dual-core 2.5GHz CPU. An internet connection is also necessary to authorize the software.
BFD Player offers several expansions, including the London 70’s and Dark Mahogany packs. The London 70’s pack pays tribute to the era of rock legends like Led Zeppelin, while the Dark Mahogany pack delivers the powerful, commanding presence of a Q Drums Mahogany drumkit.
