Blanketfort Audio has launched Breakshaper, a distortion and dynamics plugin. This free or pay-what-you-want (PWYW) plugin is available for both Mac and Windows users.
Breakshaper is a unique distortion and dynamics plugin, developed by Blanketfort Audio. It is inspired by the effect section of the Kontakt instrument ‘SR Drums’. The plugin is specifically designed for tone shaping, with a focus on achieving the perfect drum sound in the shortest time possible.
The plugin boasts a variety of features, including a state variable filter with modulation, a tilt/smile tone control, distortion, compression, and transient shaping. These features allow users to manipulate and enhance their audio in a multitude of ways, providing a comprehensive tool for audio production.
Breakshaper is available as an AU/VST3 effect plugin, making it compatible with both MacOS and Windows operating systems. The plugin is free to download, however, users are encouraged to support the developers if they find the product useful.
The size of the plugin is relatively small, coming in at 45.3 MB. This makes it a lightweight addition to any audio production setup, without compromising on the quality or range of features.
