Capella-Software has recently launched Tonica Fugata 16, a composition software compatible with both Windows and Mac.
The software offers automatic three and four-part composition in various styles such as J.S. Bach, Max Reger, Jazz, Pop, and even allows users to create their own styles. It also provides automatic harmonizing, fugue, and canon composition.
In a significant enhancement, Tonica 16 now includes features that improve the playability of compositions for keyboard instruments. For instance, chord notes can now be entered and edited similar to Capella. During the composition process, Tonica can convert the composition into a chord representation, also known as a piano score, which is simpler to read and play on keyboard instruments.
Tonica Fugata 16 is the first software worldwide that assists in composing harmonies, canons, preludes, partita, fugues, and Jazz standards, and also realizes figured bass. Unlike other programs that provide a primitive automatic accompaniment, Tonica uses a neural network-based approach to compose in the style of the old masters. It can solve the same task in different ways, providing a unique and surprising output each time.
The software simplifies the composition process. Users only need to compose the melody of a song, hymn, piece of music, canon, or fugue, and Tonica Fugata does the rest. It also decodes figured bass, a task that is usually challenging even for experts. For Jazz enthusiasts, Tonica Fugata can create Jazz harmonies based on the entered melody.
Additionally, Tonica Fugata comes with rhythmic accompanying patterns in several pop music styles. When combined with pop or Jazz harmonies, it results in a cool and easy song. The software also contains all functions of Tonica Pop.
Tonica Fugata also serves as an analysis assistant. It can evaluate your compositions, checking for correct notes, accidentals, and any mistakes in the chords. It can also analyze complete notations based on a tonal centre, even those without function or level indicators. This feature is particularly useful for those unsure about a chord’s classification or those who want to understand their creations better before presenting them to the public.
The full version of Tonica Fugata 16 is currently available at a 23% discount until October 10th. Upgrade offers are also available for owners of older versions.
