Cherry Audio has launched Filtomika, a new filter effect plugin and module collection aimed at enhancing music production. The tool, which is based on the acclaimed Polivoks synthesizer, offers advanced features such as extended waveforms for LFO modulation, multiple filter response modes, and unique controls for creative sound manipulation.
Filtomika is designed to be compatible with a variety of audio formats and comes with over 30 presets. It also provides comprehensive MIDI control and offers a free 30-day trial. The plugin is built to process any sound, be it drums, guitars, other synthesizers, or vocals, and achieve the radical, often mysterious sonic results characteristic of Atomika.
The plugin features a user-friendly preset browser with over 30 production-ready presets. It offers comprehensive MIDI control and DAW automation, complete with intuitive MIDI learn and mapping capabilities. Filtomika can be used as an insert or bus effect and is fully compatible with mono and stereo sources.
In addition to the standalone plugin, Cherry Audio and MRB have collaborated to offer the Filtomika Module Collection for Voltage Modular. This collection, priced at $15, offers deeper modulation options and over 50 presets tailored for different sound categories. Both the plugin and the module collection aim to provide producers and sound designers with innovative tools to reshape their audio, promising dynamic and unique results.
Filtomika emulates the wild filter section of the 1980s Soviet Polivoks synthesizer and is based on the expanded multi-mode filter introduced in Cherry Audio’s award-winning Atomika virtual instrument. It features circuit-modeled DSP designs by the acclaimed developer Mark Barton. Filtomika also includes other methods from Atomika that go beyond the original hardware, like an extended selection of waveforms for its syncable modulator, additional filter response modes, and Atomika’s unique Starve, Filter Drive, and Amp Drive controls.
