Crocus Soundware, a software developer, has recently launched its new product, Liminal: Vocal Textures Vol. 2 library. This innovative library is designed to be compatible with the full version of Kontakt 6.7.1 or higher, offering a range of unique features to enhance the user’s musical experience.
The Liminal: Vocal Textures Vol. 2 library is not intended for use with Kontakt Player. Instead, it is designed to provide users with a rich array of human vocalist samples that are expressive and evolving, adding character and movement to any musical composition. The performers were recorded closely using large diaphragm condenser microphones, which captured the intimate nuances of breath and characteristic intimacy. This library is particularly well-suited for adding an element of unpredictability and creative imperfection to any musical piece.
The user interface of the library allows for a variety of manipulations, including layering, mixing, and reversing articulations. A new feature, the ‘crossfade gizmo’, enables the blending of sound layers with intuitive color-coded controls. Additionally, LFO controls can be enabled to allow the DAW’s tempo to dictate the modulation of an individual layer’s volume. This feature opens up a world of creative possibilities, including tempo-synced swells and evolving texture.
The Liminal: Vocal Textures Vol. 2 library includes 4.5 GB of uncompressed samples (3.6GB compressed), sample sets of both ensemble and solo performances, 40 core articulations, and over 50 presets. It is compatible with VST3, VST2, AU and AAX host.
The product is currently available for purchase at a discounted price of $42, a significant reduction from its original price of $70.
Additionally, Crocus Soundware is offering promotional discounts on bundles and individual instruments. Bundles are available at up to 50% off, and individual instruments are available at 30% off during the promotion. This promotional offer is valid until March 20th.
