Denise Audio has launched Motion Filter. This advanced digital filter, featuring two dynamic motion modes, is designed to animate static sounds. The software is a modernized version of the brand’s classic plugin, ‘The Sweeper’, and is the second in a series of revamped plugins from the Denise lineup. The purpose of the Motion Filter is to create subtle movements in response to track dynamics or sweeping tonal shifts over time.
The Motion Filter is a reimagined version of Denise Audio’s popular plugin “The Sweeper”. It is a state-of-the-art filter that can modulate in multiple dimensions, designed to bring movement and animation to stagnant sounds. The plugin is available in VST, VST3, AU, AAX formats.
The Motion Filter is equipped with two configurable motion modes. These modes can be used to create movement that responds to a track’s dynamics or to build sweeping tonal shifts that unfold over time. It has the potential to transform any sonic material into an ear-catching mix element and can also serve as a surgical alternative to regular sidechain tools.
The Motion Filter boasts an ultra-clean filter, dynamic or periodic motion, and a clean, functional, and straightforward interface. It also offers the ability to set start and end points, dynamic resonance, sidechaining, and filter flip. The plugin comes with multi-mode filter options, slopes up to 96 db/octave, and two motion modes: LFO and Envelope.
The plugin is compatible with Windows 10 or newer (64-bit) and macOS 10.11 or newer (64-bit), including native Apple Silicon. It is light on CPU usage, delivers surgically clean sound, and features a slick and user-friendly interface. A free trial of the plugin is available, but the free version will output 5 seconds of silence every 60 seconds until activated.
The Motion Filter is currently on an introductory sale with a 43% discount, priced at $39 down from the original price of $69. The expiry date of this offer is currently unknown.
