Dirk Ulrich has launched ROCKFORCE.AI. This new initiative is dedicated to exploring the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) in the realm of professional audio, with the aim of engaging with creatives worldwide to discuss the current state and future possibilities of AI in the audio industry.
Ulrich, in his announcement, pointed out that despite AI making considerable progress in various sectors, the professional audio field has not yet witnessed any groundbreaking advancements. He criticized the existing AI tools in audio for their lack of true intelligence and underscored the need for solutions that genuinely support professional musicians and producers.
The focus of ROCKFORCE.AI will be on community-building, brainstorming, and sharing insights. The initiative has no commercial intent until 2025. Ulrich, who has a keen interest in both aviation and music, plans to connect with professionals through in-person meetings and events. This includes an appearance at the NAMM 2025 event.
Ulrich’s goal is to ensure that AI serves to enhance, not diminish, the quality of professional audio work. He aspires to develop tools that aid artists in producing their best work. He extends an invitation to fellow creatives to join him on this journey, with the promise of exciting developments in the months to come.
ROCKFORCE.AI is a US-based initiative launched by Ulrich, a music producer and serial entrepreneur. The mission of ROCKFORCE.AI is to refine the use of AI for creative professionals. The prevailing belief is that AI solutions are still in their infancy and not yet beneficial for creative professionals. ROCKFORCE.AI aims to ensure that AI will not replace creative professionals but rather assist and enhance their work. This includes professionals who produce EDM hits, mix and master pop and rock acts, run live shows or mix immersive audio, edit vocals and beats, or write music on a professional level.
