News: DJW Audio has released Lustre, a true-stereo algorithmic reverb for music production and mixing.

DJW Audio has launched Lustre, a true-stereo algorithmic reverb plug-in for music production and mixing. Available for macOS, Lustre provides seven reverb algorithm families and a single-view interface with 16 automatable faders.

Lustre is designed to cover a range of reverberation treatments, including compact rooms, short ambience, plates, halls, chambers, and non-linear effects. DJW Audio states that the plug-in is intended for tasks such as adding depth to vocals, placing instruments within a shared acoustic environment, shaping drum ambience, and creating expanded spatial effects.

The plug-in includes seven algorithm families: Halls, Plates, Rooms, Chambers, Ambience, Non-Linear, and Spaces. Each family contains ten factory presets, for a total of 70 presets.

Its controls are arranged into six sections:

  • Mix
  • Space
  • Texture
  • Decay Shaping
  • Filtering
  • Early Reflections

Across these sections, users can adjust parameters including decay time, size, and pre-delay, as well as diffusion, density, and modulation. Lustre also includes controls for low- and high-frequency decay, allowing the frequency response of the reverb tail to be shaped independently.

The Early Reflections section provides parameters for adjusting reflection balance, tone, and pattern. DJW Audio has placed all 16 faders within the main interface view, rather than distributing them across separate pages or panels.

Lustre uses an original algorithmic reverb engine and does not load captured impulse responses. The Non-Linear family is designed around short, shaped reflection bursts for gated and reverse-style reverb effects, rather than conventional decaying reverb tails.

Lustre supports Intel and Apple Silicon Macs and is available in AU, VST3, and AAX plug-in formats. A licence covers use on two machines, and DJW Audio provides a fully featured 14-day trial.

Lustre is available now from DJW Audio at a current offer price of £149, reduced from £199.
