EastWest’s Hollywood Fantasy Orchestra has been recognized at the 39th NAMM TEC Awards, winning the prestigious title for best musical instrument software. This latest win is another feather in the cap for the innovative orchestra, which has received numerous accolades throughout the music industry for its unique approach to bridging the gap between orchestral and world instruments.
The Hollywood Fantasy Orchestra is noted for its distinctive ensembles of world instruments, combined with modern octave-doubled orchestral sections. These elements have been finely tuned to suit the soundtracks of fantasy epics or medieval tales, offering a sound that is both powerful and beautifully resonant.
Many of the instruments in the orchestra have been recorded in trios, resulting in a sparkling stereo image that can cut through any mix. The orchestra’s sound has been captured in stereo, with options for surround sound formats including Dolby Atmos. This is all further enhanced by the features of EastWest’s OPUS software, making the Hollywood Fantasy Orchestra a standout in the field.
