Emetic DSP has launched Parametic, an intelligent EQ designed for broad tonal shaping. The plugin is intended to help producers and engineers make overall tone-balancing decisions while retaining direct control over the processing.
Rather than focusing on narrow corrective adjustments, Parametic is designed around programme-focused EQ shaping. Its interface and control set are intended to support quick changes to the tonal balance of a mix.
The plugin combines several processing sections for broad-spectrum work, including intelligent mid-band positioning, dynamic processing for low and high frequencies, and parallel EQ shaping. Parametic also includes a dedicated Colour stage.
Emetic DSP describes the mid-band system as intelligent positioning, while the low- and high-frequency sections provide dynamic operation. The parallel EQ facilities allow processed EQ shaping to be blended with the original signal.
Parametic is available for macOS and Windows, with AUv2 and VST3 plugin formats supported.
Parametic is available as a perpetual licence for £79. A bundle including Parametic and Smile Bus 3000 is priced at £119. Emetic DSP also offers a fully functional 14-day demo.
