FeelYourSound has launched Modern Strings, a new MIDI generator expansion for its SongEngine plug-in. The expansion adds 101 presets designed to create string-based MIDI parts from user-supplied chord progressions.
SongEngine is available in VST and AU formats and automatically generates MIDI material from chord progressions. Its existing functions include the creation of arpeggios, basslines, and piano phrases, while expansion packs provide additional preset-based MIDI generators.
Modern Strings is designed for constructing flowing string arrangements, rhythmic pizzicato patterns, and cinematic string textures. FeelYourSound states that the presets can be used across genres, with cinematic trailer and score production among the intended applications.
The expansion includes the following preset types:
- Flowing string arrangement generators
- Rhythmic pizzicato pattern generators
- String-focused cinematic texture generators
Modern Strings requires SongEngine version 1.6 or later. SongEngine includes more than 60 presets as part of the main plug-in, with further MIDI generators available through optional expansions.
Modern Strings is priced at €25 / US$29. An introductory 15% discount is available with the code “ExpIntro” at checkout. Existing FeelYourSound customers may also qualify for an additional discount through the company’s customer discount programme. These offers are valid until September 20, 2026.
