4MBIENCE is a unique ensemble of instruments that are based on the concept of visual phantasmagoria. The collection offers a user-friendly interface, enabling users to easily manipulate controls that directly influence the instrument’s sound.
The idea behind this collection is rooted in computer-assisted mental image generation, essentially transcribing peculiar dreams into sounds of the same genre, making it a sound design and illustration tool that is both enjoyable and user-friendly.
The collection features eight instruments in the Kontakt format, compatible with Kontakt 6.7 (full version). Eight quick controls provide users with command over the essential parameters, while a general timbre selector allows for fine-tuning of the instrument’s overall sound. This ensures that users have a high degree of control over the sound output, allowing for a wide range of sound design possibilities.
Adding to the intrigue, each instrument in the 4MBIENCE collection is equipped with four different architectures in the form of snapshots. These snapshots allow users to manipulate the controls to achieve sounds that are either close to or radically different from the chosen preset.
