Fracture Sounds has launched String Formations, a string texture library designed for Kontakt Player. The new library is a collection of extended string textures and gestural effects, aimed at enhancing traditional string libraries and adding a touch of humanity to musical compositions.
String Formations is comprised of a small chamber ensemble, including three violins, violas, and celli. This arrangement is perfect for scoring on a smaller scale or for introducing movement to traditionally static string libraries. The library was recorded in the expansive hall of The Nave, Studio 1, providing a rich and immersive sound experience.
The library offers three microphone perspectives, allowing users to blend the string sounds seamlessly with other instruments. This feature extends the innovative programming introduced with Smart Trills in Petrichor, particularly with the Chordal Textures patch.
In addition to the core ensemble sounds, the library also includes 16 Atmospheric Layers. These layers were created by processing the original raw samples, providing an additional layer of depth and complexity to the library’s offerings.
The String Formations library is compatible with the free Kontakt Player and is NKS compatible. The download size of the library is 13.9GB, compressed from a 17GB sample pool. This ensures that the library maintains a high level of audio quality while minimizing the storage space required.
For a limited time, Fracture Sounds is offering an introductory discount on String Formations. The library is currently priced at €99.00, including VAT, down from the original price of €149.00. This promotional discount is valid until June 18th.
