Fracture Sounds has launched Blueprint: Gentle Brass, a free library for Kontakt Player. This unique library amalgamates the talents of top musicians from the British brass banding scene in northern England.
Blueprint: Gentle Brass is a meticulously curated collection of instruments, including the Euphonium, Tenor Horn, Flugelhorn, Cornet, and Soprano Cornet. Each instrument was individually recorded at its quietest dynamic to produce a warm and delicate tone, reflecting the subtle nuances of these brass instruments.
The library offers three distinct microphone positions, providing users with the flexibility to capture the sound that best suits their needs. Additionally, it includes an Atmosphere Layer, a processed version of the raw samples. This innovative feature expands the sonic possibilities of the instruments, allowing users to experiment with a broader range of tones and textures.
Blueprint: Gentle Brass boasts a user-friendly interface with intuitive controls for dynamics, colour, atmosphere, reverb, mic mix, dynamic range, and attack and release. This ensures that even users with minimal technical knowledge can navigate the library with ease and efficiency.
The library offers full NKS support and is compatible with Komplete Kontrol hardware, making it a versatile addition to any musician’s toolkit. It operates in the free Kontakt Player (v7 or later) and does not necessitate any additional sampler software. The download size is a manageable 440MB, NCW compressed from a 900MB sample pool.
