FunkyKatAudio has launched FKA AutoWah v2.5.4, an update to its auto-wah effect plugin. The release focuses on improved compatibility with Apple MainStage on macOS, alongside further fixes and refinements for supported plugin hosts.
FKA AutoWah is designed for creating wah-style filter movement on sources including guitar, bass, keyboards, vocals and brass. It provides both signal-responsive and repeatable sweep behaviours, allowing the effect to be configured for different performance and production contexts.
In Dynamic mode, the wah response follows the incoming audio signal through envelope-controlled movement. Fixed mode provides tempo-based or fixed sweeps intended to produce a more consistent and repeatable modulation pattern.
The plugin includes controls for shaping the filter response and sweep behaviour, including:
- Sensitivity
- Depth
- Feel
- Resonance
- Range
- Sweep direction
Additional behaviour options are provided for configuring smoother, vocal-focused or more pronounced response characteristics.
FKA AutoWah v2.5.4 is available in VST3, AU and standalone formats. It supports both Intel-based Macs and Apple Silicon systems.
FKA AutoWah is available as a free and Pro product. The Pro version is priced at US$29, with regional pricing available in India.
