GForce has launched impOSCar3, a virtual synth plugin and standalone application for Windows and Mac. The software is modelled after the iconic British hardware synth OSCar®, blending the precision of digital oscillators with the warmth of analogue filters to provide a broad spectrum of sonic possibilities.
ImpOSCar3 is designed to create a variety of soundscapes, from expansive, lush, dark or ambient pads to resonant bells and precise leads. The software comes equipped with a new wavetable editor and a finely tuned filter, enhancing its capabilities and user experience.
The product boasts over 1800 patches, a new wavetable editor, a fully-scalable user interface, and a unique dual filter. It also features a wavetable oscillator with over 150 presets and a user LFO (Low Frequency Oscillator) for increased tonal and modulation power.
In addition to these features, impOSCar3 introduces new elements such as 256-step wavetables, over 450 new factory patches, 4 new macros, a new reverb, an improved layout, a user designable LFO editor, aftertouch control, undo & redo functionality, and a fully scalable UI.
The software is compatible with both Intel and Apple Silicon Macs running macOS 10.15 or above, as well as PCs equipped with a 2GHz CPU and 2GB RAM running Windows 7 or later.
GForce is offering a 7-day trial version of impOSCar3, which includes over 150 “alpha” patches. The full version of the software contains over 1800 patches. Registered owners of a full impOSCar2 licence will receive an automatic upgrade discount when purchasing impOSCar3.
The introductory offer for impOSCar3 is currently available at a 40% discount. For registered owners of impOSCar2, the upgrade introductory price is set at £29.99. The expiry date for these promotional discounts is currently unknown.
