GForce Software has recently launched the Oberheim OB-1 synth plugin and standalone for Windows and Mac. This product, developed in collaboration with Oberheim, is a classic synth emulation designed to appeal to a wide range of music creators, from techno and electro producers to underground artists and composers.
The GForce Oberheim OB-1 expands the Oberheim sound palette, offering a rich, aggressive sound and a comprehensive feature set. Developed in partnership with Oberheim, this product has been reimagined for contemporary creators. It boasts unique waveshaping possibilities, VCO levels plus their respective Sub, and Noise level and color. It also features a unique 2-pole or 4-pole with screeching resonance, and envelopes modeled after the hardware OB-1, augmented with a Loop feature.
In addition to these features, the plugin also offers keyboard control with Unison, Legato and Poly up to 16 voices, Vintage mode, Pan mode, Aftertouch and Velocity control, and a Hold function. It also includes an ARP and Sequencer with a 16-step Sequencer with Macro4 modulation, probability, independent step length for pitch, velocity and macro4, scale mode, random mode, play mode and more.
The product also boasts an enhanced signal path, polyphony up to 16 voices and unison, X-Modifier, High Pass Filter, Chorus, Delay, and Reverb Effects, Four Versatile Macros, Built-in Arpeggiator and Sequencer, and Advanced Patch Browser. It also features a fully-scalable UI, over 300 presets, and a powerful preset browser.
The Oberheim OB-1 is compatible with both Mac and PC, and is available in various formats including Standalone Application, AudioUnit, AAX, VST2, and VST3 for Mac, and Standalone Application, VST, VST3, and AAX for PC. The minimum system requirements for Mac are Intel or Apple Silicon Mac and macOS 10.13 or above, and for PC are 2GHz CPU with 2GB RAM and Windows 7 and above.
