HK Audio has launched the TWD DLX, a free plugin which emulates the Fender Tweed Deluxe amplifier, a tube amplifier for electric guitars. This innovative plugin offers real-time performance, even on fanless tablets, and provides a sound quality and playing experience that matches existing solutions.
The TWD DLX plugin is based on the 5E3 circuit of the Fender Tweed Deluxe amplifier. This allows musicians to achieve the distinctive sound of this classic amp, without the need for the physical hardware. The plugin is designed to run with very low latency, ensuring a smooth and responsive playing experience.
In addition to emulating the Fender Tweed Deluxe amp, the TWD DLX plugin also leaves plenty of resources available for the obligatory IR-loader and an array of additional guitar effects, if required. This means that musicians can further customize their sound, adding depth and complexity to their performances.
The models for the tube stages in the TWD DLX plugin are based on real tube circuits. However, they have been simplified as much as possible without sacrificing any aspects relevant to sound and playing experience. This ensures that the plugin is easy to use, while still delivering a high-quality sound.
The TWD DLX plugin is available in the JSFX format. This means it can be loaded into the VST3 or AU plugin YSFX, provided by Joep Vanlier. Alternatively, it can be used directly in the digital audio workstation REAPER, developed by Cockos Inc.
The YSFX plugin is available free of charge for Windows, MacOS, and Linux. This makes it accessible to a wide range of musicians, regardless of their preferred operating system.
All plugins and software solutions provided by HK Audio, including the TWD DLX plugin, are ready to use on different operating systems and are free of charge. This makes them an excellent choice for musicians looking for high-quality, cost-effective solutions.
