OverReel, a sample-based instrument for Kontakt 7 and above, is a new offering that brings the lofi-analog sounds of a legendary analog synthesizer to the digital realm. This innovative software instrument, designed to produce a wide range of timbres and unique textures, is capable of creating everything from dirty basses to airy pads and random arpeggios.
The OverReel software instrument is built around samples from an analog synthesizer’s oscillators, which were recorded through a worn-out tape machine. This process has resulted in a product that can cover a broad spectrum of lofi-analog synth sounds.
One of the standout features of OverReel is its randomization system. This system allows users to create generative sounds and textures with ease and speed. It opens up a world of possibilities for musicians and producers, enabling them to experiment with a wide array of sounds and styles.
In addition to its sound capabilities, OverReel also boasts a user-friendly interface. The interface is clear, informative, and provides visual feedback of the parameters. It features a carefully chosen color scheme and animations, enhancing the user experience and making the process of sound creation more intuitive.
OverReel also includes a comprehensive set of presets. These presets are designed to cover many sound types, styles, and genres, providing users with a solid foundation to start from. Whether you’re looking to create dirty, overdriven bass sounds or airy, majestic pads, OverReel has a preset to suit your needs.
OverReel is priced at 20€.
