K2get updates Chord Dock to v2.0 with four-part Arranger Mode and a free Lite edition.

News: K2get updates Chord Dock to v2.0 with four-part Arranger Mode and a free Lite edition.

K2get has launched Chord Dock v2.0, an update to its chord progression workflow plugin for Windows and macOS. The new version introduces Arranger Mode and expands the plugin’s performance and routing capabilities within supported digital audio workstations.

Chord Dock is designed to let users build and edit chord progressions on a timeline interface. Progressions can be organized into Sections and exported as MIDI for use in compatible DAWs. The workflow is centered around arranging harmonic structures visually and preparing them for further production.

Version 2.0 introduces Arranger Mode, a new feature that converts a chord progression into a four-part accompaniment consisting of Drums, Bass, Arp, and Chord Pad. Each part is generated from the existing progression and can be edited within the plugin.

Arranger Mode includes several new components:

  • A Performance page for triggering and performing pad patterns in real time.
  • A Song page for arranging patterns into a structured song order.
  • Editable pad patterns per Section, allowing variations across different parts of a composition.

Each of the four parts can be routed as separate MIDI outputs to individual tracks within a DAW. This is enabled through the included ChordPart VST3 plugin, which handles per-part MIDI routing for external instruments and further processing.

Chord Dock Lite is available as a free version and includes the core timeline workflow, Section management, and MIDI export of chord progressions. It also provides a 90-second demo of Arranger Mode with Pads 1 to 3 available per part.

The paid Performance and Full Bundle editions expand on this functionality. These versions provide unrestricted access to Arranger Mode, enable all eight pads per part, support ChordPart routing, and allow Arranger MIDI export for use outside the plugin.

Chord Dock v2.0 supports Windows 10 or later and macOS 10.15 or later. On Windows, it is available in VST3 format. On macOS, it supports VST3 and AU formats. Both Apple Silicon and Intel-based Mac systems are supported.

Chord Dock Lite is free. Paid Performance and Full Bundle editions are available; pricing details are provided by K2get.
