Karanyi Sounds has launched a new multi-delay plugin named Matra, available for both Mac and Windows. Inspired by the echo-rich Matra Mountains in North Hungary, the plugin allows users to create a wide range of audio experiences through the art of delay, from ethereal vocal textures to nostalgic tape delay effects.
At the core of Matra is its Dual Delay Engine, a studio-grade Digital Signal Processing (DSP) designed to elevate your music. This engine enables users to create captivating echoes that add depth to their sound. The plugin also features a unique Spread function, a delay-on-delay concept with a dedicated Wash control, which allows users to seamlessly blend reverb and grains into their delays, creating unique and immersive sonic textures.
Matra offers more than just delay effects. It provides a variety of sound design tools for users to explore. These include dynamic harmonic shifts with dual resonant filters and a filter Low Frequency Oscillator (LFO), dual distortion units for both heavy distortion and rich saturation, and a Wow/Chorus effect for invoking nostalgia. The plugin also includes Stereo Imaging for achieving spatial perfection, tone EQ and a versatile multimode filter for fine-tuning your sound palette. For those moments of sudden inspiration, Matra’s Smart Random button serves as a creative catalyst.
