Kirk Hunter Studios has unveiled a new product, Chamber Strings Adaptive, a chamber strings library for Kontakt. This product is touted as the world’s most playable and flexible chamber strings library, offering a stunning chamber sound and amazing playability.
Chamber Strings Adaptive is a unique product that features incredibly flexible “ensemble” patches. It allows for a variety of articulations, two different portamento styles, and extensive modeling to conserve the memory footprint. The product also offers flexible vibrato control and an automation page for controlling articulations, vibrato, dynamics, and more via MIDI CC. The product was recorded at the First Presbyterian Church, Santa Monica where A-list Los Angeles-based orchestras record and perform.
The library includes fully integrated ensemble patches and fully separated individual patches. The ensemble consists of 6 violins, 4 violas, 4 cellos, and 2 basses. Each section comes with a mixer, purge/load options, legato on/off, attack control, section high and low note range control, short articulation selection, long articulation selection, portamento control, short articulation velocity sensitivity, tighten/broaden short articulation, bow-change samples on/off, 8va, 8vb for violins and basses, and vibrato control.
To use Chamber Strings Adaptive, users will need the full version of Kontakt 6.6.1. The product has a download size of 4.5GB. The recommended system requirements for Mac users are OSX 10.9 or newer, Intel Core 2 Duo, and 4GB RAM (6GB or more recommended). For Windows users, the requirements are Windows 7 or newer, Intel Core 2 Duo or AMD Athlon 64 X2, and 4GB RAM (6GB or more recommended).
The product is currently on sale for $129.00, down from its original price of $299.00, which is a discount of 57%. The expiry date of this promotional offer is currently unknown.
