Kreativ Sound has launched Preset Mutator, a free browser-based tool designed to create playable preset starting points for the Vital synthesizer. The tool supports generating new ideas from scratch, interpreting short audio references, and creating variations of existing Vital presets.
Preset Mutator operates locally in a web browser and does not require an account. According to Kreativ Sound, audio references and preset files are processed on the user’s device rather than being uploaded or stored online.
The tool provides three workflows for working with Vital preset material. Users can begin with a newly generated preset concept, use a short audio clip as a reference for a preset idea, or mutate an existing .vital preset file to create related variations.
The free version of Preset Mutator produces three individual .vital preset variants for each workflow run. These files are intended to serve as starting points that can be opened and developed further in Vital.
For users requiring larger groups of variations, Kreativ Sound also offers Preset Mutator PRO. The PRO edition generates 32 variants per run and exports the resulting preset files in a ZIP archive.
