Lloyd Stellar has launched Lloyd’s Online TR-808 Drum Machine. This free, browser-based application offers a virtual recreation of the iconic Roland TR-808 rhythm composer, allowing users to craft and manipulate electronic drum patterns directly from their web browser without the need for downloads or installations.
The Lloyd’s Online TR-808 Drum Machine provides a range of features designed to enhance the user experience and facilitate creative expression. At the core of its functionality is a 16-step sequencer, enabling the creation of classic drum patterns. Users can explore multiple drum variations for each instrument, ensuring authentic 808 sounds are at their fingertips.
Adjustable tempo settings range from 50 to 200 BPM, allowing for flexibility in rhythm creation. The inclusion of swing functionality offers the ability to add groove to beats, while saturation controls provide options for adding warmth and character to the sounds. Each drum instrument comes with individual volume controls, giving users precise control over their mix.
For those looking to preserve their creations, the drum machine offers the ability to save and load patterns, making it easy to store favorite beats and share them with others. Users can also record audio output as high-quality 24-bit WAV files, suitable for use in digital audio workstations (DAWs). The maximum recording time is set at 5 minutes, with automatic download of the WAV file upon completion of recording.
Additionally, the drum machine supports exporting drum patterns as MIDI files. This feature is optimized for use in popular DAWs and hardware drum machines, such as the Behringer RD-8 and Roland TR-08. The export function includes all pattern steps, accents, and variations, tailored for each target platform, including Ableton Live (808 Core Kit) and other hardware drum machines with factory-default MIDI mappings.
The user interface is designed to be mobile-friendly, ensuring compatibility with most newer smartphones and tablets. This accessibility allows users to create and edit drum patterns on the go, making it a versatile tool for music production.
