Low End Candy Announces Launch of Preverb Reverse-Reverb Plugin.

News: Low End Candy Announces Launch of Preverb Reverse-Reverb Plugin.

Low End Candy has launched Preverb, a reverse reverb plugin designed for use in all major DAWs on macOS and Windows. The plugin focuses on generating reverse-style swells that lead into sounds, shaping the buildup before a transient or musical event.

Preverb is built to create a swell that pulls into a source sound just before it lands, allowing users to turn individual elements such as drops, vocals, impacts, and transitions into their own lead-ins. The process centers on generating reverse reverb tails that resolve directly into the original audio.

The plugin includes six reverb characters, each offering its own swell envelope and tonal profile:

  • Hall
  • Room
  • Plate
  • Cathedral
  • Ambience
  • Spring

Each character is designed with a distinct envelope response and tonal shaping, enabling users to tailor the reverse effect to different source materials and production contexts.

A Capture & Print function allows users to play their sound within the plugin and generate a printed pre-verb file. The resulting audio appears in a dedicated drop zone and can be dragged directly into a DAW as a WAV file. This workflow is intended to simplify the process of committing reverse reverb effects to audio for further editing and arrangement.

Preverb also includes a Pitch + Formant control section. Users can shift the pitch of the generated reverb independently from its formant, or link the two parameters for more natural transposition. This enables adjustments to the tonal character of the reverse tail while maintaining control over its perceived timbre.

The plugin ships with 24 factory presets covering a range of common production scenarios, including:

  • Vocals
  • Drums
  • Bass
  • Synths
  • Risers and transitions
  • Sound effects

Users can save their own presets, compare settings using an A/B function, and initialize the plugin state with a single click.

Preverb operates offline and does not require an iLok account or hardware dongle. Purchase includes a lifetime license delivered via instant download and license key.

The plugin supports macOS 10.13 and later, including both Intel and Apple Silicon systems with native compatibility, and Windows 10 or later (64-bit). It is compatible with Ableton Live 10.1 and later, FL Studio, Logic Pro, GarageBand, Studio One, Cubase, Nuendo, Reaper, Bitwig Studio, Reason 12 and later, Cakewalk, Sonar, and Maschine 2.17 and later.

Preverb does not currently offer native support for Pro Tools, Linux, iPad or iOS systems, 32-bit environments, or VST2-only hosts such as Ableton Live 9 and earlier, as VST3 support requires Live 10.1 or later.

The plugin is available directly from the Low End Candy website.

Preverb is available at an introductory price of $29, increasing to $49 after July 5th.
