LWNX DSP has launched VOIDWORM, a source-reactive industrial distortion plugin for Windows. Available in VST3 and standalone formats, VOIDWORM is designed to alter its distortion behaviour according to the incoming audio signal rather than applying a fixed processing character.
VOIDWORM uses a reactive processing engine built around four parallel reactor paths, which are dynamically recombined before passing through further saturation, compression, and post-processing stages. The design is intended for processing sources with industrial distortion, metallic textures, nonlinear feedback, and harmonic modification.
The four reactor paths are:
- MASS, which reinforces low-frequency weight, fundamentals, and harmonics.
- FURNACE, the main industrial distortion stage.
- ARC, which derives metallic and electrical textures from the source signal.
- FEEDBACK, which adds controlled nonlinear recursive texture.
Global controls include BREACH, TEAR, ROT, DRIVE, OVERLOAD, MIX, and SURGE. Additional LOW, MID, HIGH, RANGE, and OUTPUT controls provide adjustment of the processed signal. Each reactor path has its own amount control, bypass and solo options, plus a dedicated pre-EQ section.
VOIDWORM includes 49 factory presets organised into 11 preset families. The plugin also provides adjustable oversampling up to 8x, an HQ processing mode, input gating, and 12 selectable visual faceplate themes.
VOIDWORM 1.0.0 is available for Windows x64 in VST3 and standalone formats. The project and downloads are hosted on GitHub.
