News: Mike Sorrentino Music Production releases sidechain based unmasking and filtering plugin.

DNA Labs has launched DNA Track Purifier, an ultra-precision dynamic processor designed to address frequency masking and acoustic clutter in real time. The plugin is available in both a free basic version and a paid advanced edition.

DNA Track Purifier is designed to help engineers create space within a mix by dynamically reducing competing frequencies. According to the developer, the processor operates with low latency and applies targeted dynamic control to minimise masking between overlapping elements.

At the core of the plugin is a psychoacoustic ducking system intended to identify and attenuate frequency areas that interfere with other sounds. By dynamically reducing these areas, the processor aims to remove perceived muddiness and increase available headroom, allowing mix elements to coexist more clearly within the same frequency spectrum.

The processing is described as surgical and adaptive, focusing on precise frequency regions rather than applying broadband compression. This approach is intended for real-time use during mixing, where maintaining clarity and balance between tracks is essential.

DNA Track Purifier is offered in two versions:

  • Free Version: Provides the core processing engine for real-time frequency masking reduction.
  • Advanced Version: Adds lookahead functionality, adjustable envelope controls, and pan or mid/side processing options.

The advanced features expand the range of control available to users. Lookahead processing allows the plugin to anticipate transients before applying gain reduction. Envelope controls enable more detailed shaping of the processor’s response characteristics. The inclusion of pan and mid/side modes provides additional flexibility when working with stereo material, allowing processing to be applied selectively across the stereo field.

DNA Track Purifier is intended for mixing scenarios where multiple elements compete for similar frequency ranges, such as layered instruments, dense arrangements, or complex productions. The developer positions the plugin as a solution for maintaining clarity without requiring extensive manual equalisation or automation.

DNA Track Purifier is available as a free basic version, with a paid advanced version offering additional features including lookahead, envelope controls, and pan or mid/side processing.
