Mixing Night Audio has launched CASCADE, a new delay plugin designed to support creative audio processing workflows. The plugin introduces a streamlined interface and an integrated set of effects intended to help users build depth and movement within a mix.
CASCADE is built around the idea of simplifying delay design while maintaining flexibility. According to Mixing Night Audio, the plugin replaces more complex delay parameter structures with a focused layout that encourages experimentation and quick adjustments. The aim is to support producers in maintaining creative momentum while shaping spatial effects.
At its core, CASCADE offers a delay engine with dedicated delay types, including Echo, Slap, and Ping-Pong. These modes provide immediate access to common delay configurations without requiring manual routing or detailed setup. Timing controls are presented in a simplified format intended to reduce the need for intricate delay-time adjustments.
The plugin integrates a range of built-in effects directly within the delay engine. Users can apply processing such as chorus, saturation, stereo width adjustment, and reverb without constructing extended effect chains. Additional tools including ducking, filtering, formant shifting, swing, and LFO modulation are available for shaping movement and tonal character within the repeats.
An advanced section expands the available controls for users seeking more detailed sound design options. CASCADE also includes a feature called Cascade Mode, which allows control of up to 16 delay repetitions. Within this mode, modulation can be assigned across repetitions to create evolving delay patterns over time.
