Mixwave has launched Quad Eight MM-310 channel strip plugin for macOS and Windows systems. The software is based on the MM-310 console module and is intended to bring its core signal path and functionality into a modern plugin format.
The Quad Eight MM-310 plugin models a channel strip originally used in American recording studios, focusing on the discrete, transformer-balanced design associated with the hardware. Mixwave states that the plugin is designed to reproduce the tonal behavior and operational characteristics of the original unit while offering integration within contemporary digital audio workstations.
At the input stage, the plugin includes a transformer-balanced preamp section with selectable Mic and Line modes. This switch is intended to adjust how the input transformer responds to incoming signal levels, allowing users to control the interaction between saturation and clarity. A continuous gain control is provided to manage input level and drive.
Equalization is handled by three fixed-frequency EQ bands. According to Mixwave, the EQ uses proportional-Q behavior, where the bandwidth narrows as gain is increased. The high-frequency band includes a shelf toggle, allowing it to operate either as a shelving filter or as a bell-shaped peak. These controls are intended to provide broad tonal shaping within the structure of the original design.
In addition to the modeled analog circuitry, the plugin includes features developed specifically for software use. These additions are designed to expand routing and control options without altering the original signal flow concept.

The Quad Eight MM-310 plugin is available in 64-bit VST3, AU, and AAX formats. Authorization requires an iLok account and the iLok License Manager, with support for iLok 2 or 3 hardware keys, iLok Cloud, and machine-based activation.
Mixwave also offers a 14-day free trial of the plugin. Access to the trial requires users to provide a name and email address through the company’s website.
The Quad Eight MM-310 plugin is also included as part of the Quad Eight & Electrodyne Bundle, with additional bundle options mentioned for customers who combine it with other related products.
