Nembrini Audio has launched Tone Craft Modular Studio, a modular multi-effect and routing environment for guitar and bass. The software is available as both a plugin and a standalone application for macOS and Windows.
Tone Craft Modular Studio is designed as a flexible platform for building, routing, and performing guitar and bass signal chains. It allows users to combine integrated modules with existing Nembrini Audio plugins within a single environment, supporting a wide range of studio and live configurations.
The platform enables users to construct signal paths ranging from straightforward pedal-style chains to more complex routing setups. Available routing tools include splitters, mixers, crossovers, and auxiliary paths. This structure supports parallel processing, multi-band configurations, and dual-amp setups, offering detailed control over signal flow.
Tone Craft can operate inside a compatible DAW or as a standalone application. This allows it to be used for studio production, rehearsal setups, or live performance rigs. Each preset can store up to eight fully independent scenes, which can be recalled via MIDI Program Change for sound switching during performance.
All loaded module parameters are fully automatable within a DAW environment. The software also supports control via MIDI hardware controllers, enabling real-time parameter adjustments.
The platform includes a selection of built-in stomp and effect modules. In addition, users can integrate their existing Nembrini Audio plugins without needing to repurchase them. Paid Nembrini Audio plugins are not included with the Tone Craft license and must be obtained separately.
Two versions of the platform are available:
- A free version that includes basic functionality and a selection of built-in modules.
- A licensed version that unlocks advanced features such as parallel routing, scene management, and centralized parameter automation.
Several modules can be used without purchasing a Tone Craft license. The licensed version expands routing and performance capabilities within the same modular framework.
Tone Craft Modular Studio supports the following plugin formats:
System requirements include an Intel-compatible or Apple Silicon CPU, 1 GB of RAM, macOS 10.13 or newer, or Windows 7 or newer. A 64-bit DAW is required for plugin use.
Tone Craft Modular Studio is regularly priced at $49.99 and is currently available for $19.99 until March 31. A free version is also available.
