oeksound announces Bloom: Adaptive Tone Shaper Plugin
oeksound, a company based in Helsinki, Finland, has announced Bloom, a dynamic and context-aware tonal balance correction solution. Like its predecessors, Bloom is built on efficient algorithms, tuned by ear, to offer quick and musical audio shaping. However, it shifts focus from problem-solving to color and tone shaping, suitable for both fixing audio issues and creative sculpting. Bloom will be available later in the year in VST3, AU, and AAX formats and will be showcased at NAMM 2024.
Blue Cat Audio announces Spinal Vibe Plugin and Freeceiver software
Blue Cat Audio has announced Blue Cat’s Spinal Vibe, a new modulation plug-in that can simulate all kinds of rotary speaker effects, and Freeceiver, a free plug-in and application that can receive audio and MIDI streams sent over the network by the Connector and Fader Hub software. McDSP announces BOB APB Plugin
McDSP has announced a new BOB APB Plugin for NAMM 2024. The BOB APB plugin boosts low frequencies in the same way as the original BOB module from the 6060 Ultimate Module collection, with additional analog processing options. The BOB APB plugin features a unique bass optimized bias (BOB) algorithm, a two-stage analog gain section, adjustable analog compression and saturation, and VU style metering of input, output, overall gain reduction and Squash gain reduction. The estimated ship date of the BOB APB plugin is March 2024.
Audiomovers announces OMNIBUS 3.0, with networking capability, greater flexibility and new UI
Audiomovers has announced OMNIBUS 3.0, an update to their audio routing software. The new version boasts enhanced networking capabilities, increased flexibility, and a revamped user interface. Key features of OMNIBUS 3.0 include:
- Networking support for AVB (with AVB-enabled hardware) and NDI audio, both wired and wireless.
- Flexible and robust audio routing capabilities with four virtual drivers supporting up to 256 channels, application capture, the ability to add only desired hardware/virtual drivers to the routing matrix, sample rate conversion, and smart buffer tracking.
- Integration with MIDI and Stream Deck, including MIDI program change support for snapshots and a Stream Deck plugin.
- User Interface improvements such as adjustable darkness levels for the matrix background, a Hot Snapshot Panel, and the ability to recall menus, add devices, and adjust channel counts as needed.
OMNIBUS 3.0 is slated for release in Q2 2024, with upgrade options available for existing OMNIBUS 2.0 owners.
GPU Audio Announces Living Spatial Reverb in Partnership with Outer Echo and MNTRA Instruments
MNTRA, GPU Audio, and Outer Echo have teamed up to introduce ‘Living Sky’, a new spatial reverb plugin designed to revolutionize three-dimensional spatial audio production. This collaboration combines MNTRA’s skill in developing immersive virtual instruments, GPU Audio’s advanced audio processing, and Outer Echo’s expertise in DSP solutions for spatial applications. Living Sky offers an expansive collection of acoustic spaces, enabling creators to transform sound in imaginative ways. Unlike standard reverb plugins that offer limited motion within a space, Living Sky claims to “brings the space itself to life”, creating dynamic and organic audio processing. Living Sky is scheduled for release later this year.
