Obliterate, developed by Newfangled Audio, is an innovative OTT distortion filter plugin that intentionally distorts audio. The plugin was initially designed as a filter, but a bug in the code, which was left unattended, transformed it into a form of resonant distortion. This transformation has led to the creation of a plugin that doesn’t aim to improve your audio but rather to destroy it, giving it an aggressive and unique sound.
The plugin is characterized by its absurd, over-the-top, digital distortion, making it an ideal tool for creating destroyed drums, insane basses, and horror sound design. It includes built-in frequency and resonance control for distortion, offering users a high level of control over the audio output.
Obliterate includes two destruction algorithms: TOO MUCH, and TOO MOST. These algorithms provide different levels of distortion, allowing users to choose the level of audio destruction that best suits their needs.
